In my case, Mi11 Ultra is not yet available in my country. And, like I said, I am not importing phones from anywhere else.
And even if it will still be available, it will probably be 1200EUR. And there are no specialized Xiaomi stores in here, to have nice promotions (or trade-ins).
But anyway, I don't like Mi11 Ultra design. Or even S21 Ultra design. Too big phones for me. I would rather have a good 11-12" tablet if I would want media consumption. Which I will probably buy in the near future.

So, what's the problem? I got it with a very nice discount. A discount you will not get in my country at no other brand nowadays.
Plus, people say bad things about Exynos 2100 just because they saw some youtubers (probably paid by Apple or Xiaomi). People don't have the phones themselves. I saw a lot of bad videos with Mi11 or iPhone 12 series. That doesn't mean the phones are bad. People should stop taking YouTube for granted and just try the phones for themselves.
True, the chipset is not at the same performance as the SD888, but is not far behind. For daily tasks is very capable. And the rest of the phone is pretty much identical with the SD variant (display is incredible, it has Ldac support, battery is very decent, speakers are great). I didn't buy it for heavy gaming or something (otherwise I would have bought Rog phone 3 or 5). So, I am perfectly fine with it.
The Exynos 2100 is far better than what Exynos 990 was last year in S20 series. For me this is a plus. And with the very nice discount, a good enough reason to buy it.

I can easily get Rs.35k (395 Euros) for my OP8 pro by selling it via one of the marketplaces.
No need to be dependent on brand specific promotions.
Effective Pay = Rs.35k (395 Euros) for a brand new Mi 11 Ultra (12gb/256gb edition) with Snapdragon chip and charger inside the box.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 20 hours agoBuy online... And ship it into the US. Just place a showroom price/value on the CN22 form. cn version mostly ain't gona work with networks in the US. Check the bands supported, you will get shit coverages.

But with Exynos 2100 at least Samsung corrected some of the issues. The battery is better for example. The performance is still not there, true, but I don't care that much, because I don't game on this phone (at least not heavy games). Also, the phone doesn't heats up that much.
This year even the SD870 and SD888 heat a lot. I have a SD870 phone too (the Poco F3) and that phone heats up more than my Exynos 2100 Galxy S21.
As for the minuses that you describe, none are important to me:
- all the time I use cases on my phones.
- QHD is a gimmick for me and it deplets the battery very fast. Had a S9+ at some point and I always used it in 1080p because of the battery.
- headphone jack could be a minus. But I am using primarily wireless headphones since 5-6 years already. Also, nowadays almost all flagships are missing headphone jack and microsd card (exception Sony).
- chipset is very capable. Is somewhere at the level of SD870. Of course, is not SD888, but is no slouch either.
- as I told you I got the accessories for free (at my own choosing). So, even better.

ROG 5 will heat, but it'll maintain the the performance longer. Again you shouldn't be buying one if you don't play games professionally.
