TL;DR

  • A phone believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has passed through TENAA.
  • The listing reveals the device’s dimensions, battery capacity, and more.

A phone believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE recently passed through the FCC, spilling a few key details in the process. Now, the Chinese variant of the device has seemingly passed through certification agency TENAA, too.

The listing, as reported by MyFixGuide, suggests the device in question wears model number SM-G9900. In comparison, the US Galaxy S21 FE model is believed to use the SM-G990U tag. Nevertheless, the TENAA-listed device will reportedly feature dual-SIM, dual standby support with 5G connectivity.

Measurement details have also surfaced. According to the listing, the device may measure 7.9mm thick with a length of 155.7mm. Notably, the phone’s width is quoted as “4.5mm,” but that’s almost certainly an error. As a baseline, the Galaxy S20 FE measures 159.8mm in length, 74.5mm in width, and 8.4mm in depth. A smaller body would make the S21 FE a little easier to handle.

Other figures quoted include a 6.4-inch display with a 4,370mAh battery. Samsung could market the latter as a battery rated for 4,500mAh.

Adding these details to the FCC listing, we can also conclude the S21 FE will feature 45W charging and a Snapdragon 888 SoC. Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0 support, NFC, and Wireless Power Transfer all make the cut, too.

We can’t find the TENAA listing ourselves, so do take these details with a pinch of salt. Additionally, don’t be too surprised if the Chinese and US variants differ in a few ways. We may have to wait quite a while for confirmation, too. The Galaxy S21 FE is expected to launch after the Galaxy Z Fold 3, rumored for a debut in late July or early August.
