To update: Two days after the 24-inch iMac began selling as a refurbished product in the UK, US customers can also buy a new Mac here for as low as $260.
Four months after its launch, the 24-inch iMac with the M1 chip is now available as a new option from the Apple Store in the UK. Currently, two 24-inch models are sold, one in pink and one in green. Users can get discounts of up to £220.00 (about $300).
The refreshed 24-inch pink iMac packs an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU with 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and an M1 chip with two Thunderbolt ports. Users can buy this Mac for £1,059, a discount of £190.
Another option is the refreshed 24-inch iMac in green with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, Gigabit Ethernet, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, two Thunderbolt ports, two USB 3 ports, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID . It is available for £1,229.00, discounted by £220.
Apple says all refurbished products go through a rigorous pre-sale refurbishment process, which is covered by Apple’s one-year limited warranty and 14-day return policy.
Users can still buy products with Apple Care, although gift wrapping and engraving are not available for refurbished products.
The 24-inch iMac is Apple’s first redesign in more than a decade. With a massive 24-inch screen, it’s available in seven different colors and features Apple’s own silicon, the M1.
This iMac also has a 1080p camera, a magic mouse, a magic keyboard, and a magic trackpad in matching colors.
For now, the 24-inch iMac isn’t available as a modified option in US stores, but UK users can find it here.
For US users, the M1 Mac Mini has been around as a new option for quite some time.
