General crash? In addition to WhatsApp, users report instability on services like Netflix and Spotify - Play Crazy Game

The afternoon of Monday, 4, is being difficult for those who need to work on the internet or who can’t be without access to social networks. That’s because the WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook apps, the most popular and used worldwide, have gone off the air and have no plans to return. In addition, tools like Telegram, TikTok, Netflix and Spotify have received complaints of instability.

WhatsApp stopped working around 12:30 pm today, according to Downdetector monitoring site. A map provided by the platform also showed that the problem was not only reported in Brazil, but also in Argentina, Peru and Colombia. In the same period, Instagram and Facebook users also began reporting on the tools’ downfall.

All three of these services belong to Facebook, which explains the “bug” presented almost at the same time. In addition, other services linked to the platform are also unstable. Among them are: Facebook Messenger, Oculus VR and the Pokémon Go game.

But the problem wasn’t just with services linked to Facebook. On Twitter, people have already reported having found bugs in Netflix, Nubank, Spotify, Telegram and PagBank services (see full list at the end of the article).

On Telegram, according to complaints made in the Downdetector Forum, people who tried to register received the message “PHONE_NUMBER_FLOOD”, reporting an error. The problem could be related to mass migration of users due to the fall of WhatsApp.

And there were also people’s reports of problems at mobile operators Oi, Claro, Tim and Vivo. Users identified an error in the fixed and mobile internet connection and a signal drop. In addition, they had difficulty completing calls. Second portal G1, there are also operating complaints from Amazon Web Services, Google and AT&T.

what the platforms say

The official account of WhatsApp made a post on Twitter, informing about the fall. “We are aware that some people are having problems with WhatsApp at the moment. We are working to get things back to normal and we will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”

Facebook also used its Twitter profile to provide clarification on the service’s downfall. “We are aware that some people are having problems accessing our apps and products. We are working to get back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience,” he wrote.

Instagram tweeted: “Instagram and friends are having a rough time right now and maybe you’re having trouble using them. Count on us, we’re on top of it.” The Telegram, second site TechAll, advised users to wait for the return of system stability.
