If you’ve recently switched from a Windows computer to a Mac, you’re probably finding it difficult to adjust to the keyboard and shortcuts. M is the command

You can use this Mac keyboard shortcut to minimise all open windows at once. The Windows and D keys on a PC can be used to perform the same purpose.

Command Option Esc

An programme or window may become unresponsive from time to time. To continue completing specific tasks, you may wish to wait a few moments to see if the app or window becomes responsive. If it doesn’t, press the three keys simultaneously to force an app to close.

Command N (Shift)

Create a new folder in the Finder with this Mac keyboard shortcut. You may also create a new folder by right-clicking and selecting Create New Folder.

Command R (Shift)

If you have numerous Apple products, this command can be a lifesaver when it comes to file transfers. To open the AirDrop window on a device that supports it, simply hit Shift, Command, and the R key. You’ll find your AirDrop Discovery settings here, as well as the devices that have been recognised for file transfers. AirDrop transfers data between devices through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are almost certainly already turned on on your Mac. If you don’t, when you try to send an item, your Mac will prompt you to activate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Command D (Option)

The Mac has a Dock at the bottom of the screen that saves or displays some of the most frequently used apps or those that are currently open. The Dock takes up a very small percentage of the screen. Some people may be fine with the Dock taking up space, while others may not. If you wish to conceal the Dock, press Option, Command, and D at the same time. Similarly, you can unhide the Dock by pressing the three keys simultaneously.

Button for Command and Power

This Mac keyboard shortcut will force the Mac to restart without prompting you to save any open or unsaved documents. When the Mac isn’t responding, the keyboard shortcut can come in handy.
