Amazon just dropped the price on the 2023 LG B3 4K OLED Smart TV to $1996.97. This is the very first time we've seen this specific OLED TV drop below $2000. This is an awesome TV for gamers who don't want to splurge nearly $1000 more on a C3 when the image quality between the two is nearly identical.
77" LG B3 4K OLED Smart TV for $1996.99
The LG B3 offers a better value than the C3 for both gamers and TV watchers alike. Because this is a true OLED TV, expect near infinite response time and contrast ratio and perfect black levels. It has a native 120Hz panel and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Compared to the C3, the B3 is equipped with an older processor, lower peak brightness levels, and two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of four.
OLED technology aside, the LG B3 has all the features you'd want in a gaming TV. It has a true 120Hz panel and two HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5, Xbox Series X, or RTX 40 series equipped PC. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM).
If you're looking for a TV screen size that's bigger than 70" and you insist on premium OLED tech, then the B3 is the only TV out there that's going to run for under $2K. The closest contender is the LG C3 model, which costs $1000 more. Is it a better TV? Yes it is. Is it $1000 better? In our opinion, definitely not. The LG B3 is still one of the best TVs out there, and if it was between this TV and another non-OLED TV in this same price bracket, the decision, at least to me, would be obvious.
