Top Picks from Mansion Global Boutique's Guest Curators - Mansion Global

We’ve had our fair share of talented tastemakers, architects and prominent interior designers as guest curators this year. Each guest curator peruses the Mansion Global Boutique, selecting their favorite items that evoke their unique taste and sense of style.

From a funky set of bookends to a luxurious alpaca throw, the items below were selected by more than one of our guest curators in 2023, all of which are available on the Boutique.

Dalton Nested Trays — Pigeon and Poodle

Chosen by both Elaine Griffin and Meridith Baer, these handmade trays elevate any space with their natural look.

It’s a design truth: Anything corralled together on a tray looks infinitely chic-er. These white washed woven rattan trays are perfectly sized to hold stuff stylishly, from soaps and lotions in the loo, to bedside table H2O and doodads, to coffee table or foyer console tchotchkes,” Elaine said.

Meredith prefers the trays styled on a nightstand to add a bit of texture and dimension. “Details like this are what elevates a space and creates a home that feels thoughtful and curated instead of simply staged, she told Mansion Global Boutique.

Aiden Mirror — Soho Home

The playful-yet-chic design of this mirror was inspired by the decor found in Soho House Tel Aviv. Made in Vietnam from resin, it is equally functional and stylish.

Karen Asprea, founder of KAS Interiors, likes to use mirrors as art when decorating.

“I love the warm wood tone and curvy geometry of the frame, it can be used on top of a solid color wall or a fun wallpaper to add some extra personality,” she said.

Fiammetta V Italian Marble Pet Bowl with Stainless Steel Insert

This pet bowl for all furry companions is handcrafted with Carrara marble, creating an elevated mealtime accessory.

“These marble pet bowls are chic and easy to sanitize with the stainless steel insert. Even accessories for our furry friends should not be overlooked,” Amanda Holliday said, who opened her full-service international interior design firm Amanda Brooke Interiors in 2019.

Swirl Stepped Bookends Set of 2 — Tom Dixon

These unique bookends, which are crafted from recycled powdered marble residue, were selected by Matthew Williamson and The Novogratz as part of their curations. These interior designers share a passion for bold color and pattern.

“These bookends are not only visually interesting because of their shapes, but also the cacophony of colors. It’s a strong piece but small enough not to overwhelm,” Cortney and Robert Novogratz noted.

Matthew chose these bookends for their form and function.

“I love the contrast of the graphic form with its painterly marbled decoration to keep your books standing to attention.”

Alpaca Colorblock Throw – Jenni Kayne

A good throw blanket should be cozy and warm without sacrificing appeal. Ami Mckay, who’s the founder, creative director and interior designer behind the Vancouver-based full-service design firm PURE Design, chose Jenni Kayne’s Alpaca Colorblock Throw for its refined look.

“I love alpaca everything. It is expensive, but this is a special, timeless piece. You can go with warm tones or cool tones depending on the style of your home.”

Juliana Pillow – The Citizenry

Ami also selected the Juliana Pillow along with Meridith Baer, who noted that her designers have been loving mixing in new patterns and textures lately.

“This pillow features the perfect amount of subtle pattern and texture that will add depth and interest to a room without being overpowering, and can also be mixed with other patterns and colors,” Meridith said.

Montpelier Lantern

Natalie Miyar has noticed a surge in luxurious materials making an appearance in outdoor furniture. Designed using antique materials and glass, the Janus et Cie lanterns bring old world charm to the backyard.

“Adding the Montpelier lanterns from Janus et Cie instantly elevates any outdoor space to a resort-like environment,” she said.
