TOKYO -- Japanese satellite broadcaster Sky Perfect JSAT said on Tuesday that it has set up a space debris removal company, expanding its repertoire of satellite-based services that now include satellite broadband, Earth observation and space security.
The new company, named Orbital Lasers, will use pulse lasers to stabilize space debris that has run out of fuel and lost control of its attitude, then deorbit it into the Earth's atmosphere for disposal.
